Calls for Service
January 16
Officer Connor Burnes responded to Missouri Ave for a report of an animal bite. The victim sustained a minor injury and the dog is held in quarantine.
Officer Jacob Brixey responded to Sixth Street for a report of a suicidal person. EMS transported the individual for mental evaluation.
Officer Stephens responded to Anne Drive for a report of a person unlawfully entering a residence. They found the subject and issued a citation for trespassing. 
Officer Brixey received a call to Preacher Roe Blvd for a report of a suicidal person. EMS transported the individual for mental evaluation. 
January 17
Corporal Wesley Stuart responded to a domestic disturbance on Burke Avenue. He placed a subject on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. 
Officer Heuchelin responded to East Third Street for a possible overdose on Fentanyl. EMS transported the individual.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to State Route CC for a single vehicle rollover accident. He discovered two persons with injuries, and both were transported for medical treatment. The matter is under investigation.
Officer Martin took a report of a stolen firearm from Stephens Street. The matter will be forwarded to the Investigations Unit.
Officer Heuchelin responded to South Thayer Ave for a report of property damage. The case is open and pending formal charges.
January 18
Sergeant Joshua Wichowski responded to South Thayer Ave for a report of domestic assault. During the investigation the parties were separated for the remainder of the evening.
Officer Martin responded to Lincoln Avenue for a possible violation of an order of protection. A report will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
Officer Brixey responded to Washington Ave. for a well-being check. A report will be forwarded to the Missouri Child Abuse Hotline.
January 19
Corporal Thomas Manning assisted the Children’s Division with an investigation of child abuse. A final report is awaiting physical evidence. 
Officer Martin responded to Preacher Roe Blvd for a report of shoplifting. He identified the individuals and issued citations for stealing.
January 20
Officer Stephens took a report of stealing from a business on North US Hwy 63. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Corporal Stewart responded to South Thayer Ave for a report of domestic disturbance. He placed a subject under arrest on a 24 hour hold and will forwarded a request for charges to the Howell County Prosecutor. 
Sergeant Wichowski responded to a residence on Opal Street for a report of a disturbance involving a subject with a knife. During the investigation all parties refused to pursue action against the subject. The subject later committed numerous offenses while in custody at the West Plains Municipal Jail Facility. 
January 21
Sergeant Wichowski responded to the Little Hut Bar on East Trish Knight Street for a report of a large fight taking place inside the establishment. Investigation found that all parties had fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The matter remains under further investigation.
Officer Brixey responded to Stewart Street for a report of peace disturbance. Both parties were issued a summons and released from the scene. 
Officer Martin received a call to a residence on Worcester Ave for a well-being check due to concerning noises from inside. He learned a domestic assault had taken place and arrested one subject pending formal charges. 
January 22
Officer Barrett responded to South Thayer Ave for a report of a verbal domestic. Both parties were separated for the evening.
Officer Brixey responded to Walker Street for a possible domestic assault. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.
