Lebanon City Council Meets

Lebanon City Council took action on several pieces of business on Monday night. Among the items on the agenda was the approval of an agreement with the Missouri Department of Social Services. Finance Director Kat Gill presented the low-income home energy assistance program bill.

Five members of the Lebanon City Council were present and approved the agreement. In other business Tourism Director Rebecca Rupard talked about the cost of purchasing a forklift for the Cowan Civic Center from B&H Industrial Service at a cost of $33-thousand-750-dollars. The new forklift will replace one that is 20 years old.

Street Supervisor Mike Moore presented a bill that will purchase equipment needed to install a pedestrian signal at Washington and Commercial.

 

 

The purchase price that was approved by City Council was $7,550 for the signal and $11,068 for the thermoplastic materials, and they approved Asphalt paving behind the Field house building at the old junior high at the docking area at a cost not to exceed $22-thousand-dollars.  The project is being done as part of the Highway 64 stormwater, improvement project agreement with the school district. Council approved the purchase of PVC pipe which is used for underground electric service for the Flatwoods and Legacy Subdivisions from IMCthe O Utility Supply Company each in the amount of $20,508.30 each, with the purchase being funded by the American Rescue Pofn Act. Council also approved the purchase of PVC pipe for the S&H Farm Supply project at the cost of $13,875. Also, the electric department council approved the repair of a transformer at a cost of $19190 from Sunbelt Solomon and the purchase of Capacitor Bank Controls, wire for restocking supply, and wildlife guards.
