'Field of Light' Nov. and Dec. dates, discounted tickets for students and teachers on sale

AUSTIN, Texas — 'Field of Light' tickets for all dates from November through December 30, 2022, are now on sale to the general public, including discounted prices for students and teachers. Tickets went on sale Thursday at 10 a.m.

Tickets for "Student and Teacher Night" are for the first Thursday and Sunday of every month, starting in October. That includes October 2nd and 6th, November 3rd and 6th, and December 1st and 4th.

The price is $30 and you must present a valid school ID upon entry.

Artist Bruce Munro's illuminating exhibition opened its doors on September 9 at the Texas Arboretum at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

“We’ve received great feedback from guests since launching Field of Light earlier this month,” said Event Director, Sam Elkin. “To see family, friends, and strangers come together to enjoy the beautiful landscape at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is so gratifying for Bruce Munro and our entire team.”

The exhibit features 28,000 solar-powered stems of light spread across 16 acres of land.

General public tickets start at $41 for adults. Admission for children ages 4-10 starts at $20. Entry times are in 15-minute increments beginning at 6:15 pm to 9:45 p.m.

Food and drinks from local vendors are available on site.
