Pit bulls are once again allowed in homes. In Excelsior Springs City Council voted to remove *** breed ban this week. City will still ban dangerous jocks, but just not *** specific breed. Animals will only be categorized that way if they hurt somewhat.

For the first time in decades, pit bull dogs are once again allowed to reside in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.The city council voted this week to remove the breed ban, which had been on the books since 1987. The city now has no breed-specific legislation on the books. Instead, the city will ban "dangerous dogs."The city said animals will only be classified that way if they hurt someone.
