On Saturday, June 18, Mrs. Esther Coneff welcomed more than 75 friends and family members from all generations to St. John’s Episcopal Church of Dallas to celebrate her 100th birthday. She has been a member of the congregation since 2011. Father Houk kicked off the celebration with a prayer. Pink and yellow balloons, flowers, copious champagne and Casa Linda Bakery’s finest cake decorated the Parish Hall. In addition to her own children and their children, Coneff welcomed to the party her many friends; past students and fellow teachers known through her career as a teacher, most recently at White Rock Elementary in the Richardson Independent School district; and friends from the many clubs she continues to support, including her sorority, teachers’ union, bridge clubs, prayer group and book club. Guests celebrated her unique capacity for compassion and love. She may be dancing on wheels instead of feet, but she still showed everyone how to party!
