Lufkin High School teachers Laura Stevens and Marshall Gorham recently received the Beulah Dominy and Samuel Gee Gill Teacher of the Year Award at the Lufkin ISD End of Year Service Awards Banquet.

The award was started in 1993 by Jack and Linda Gill and was funded to award LHS teachers who have displayed an "exemplary performance and commitment to excellence." The award includes a plaque and a check for $1,000.
