SAN ANTONIO - Inflation is continuing to crush the country.

We reached out on Facebook to see how it's affecting you and got more than 1,100 replies.

We combed through all the comments and found some pretty hocking stories.

But first, take a look at this pew research poll.

They say Americans’ biggest worries, or biggest issues, is inflation. 70% of the people who voted say that inflation is the biggest issue. That's more than violent crime, racism, and COVID-19.

A very different climate that we're in right now as opposed to just a few months ago with COVID-19.

Now, this is our Facebook post that we posted.

As you can see, 1100 comments, 57 shares, just on this one post.

A lot of them had two main topics. First, people not being able to afford their medical bills and having to either give a that or give up groceries.

The other one people selling something that's inside themselves just to get by.

Taking a look at that first topic. Kim Gore said, “Entertainment??? What's that. Many of us Seniors, or those on disability have to now make the choice between food or Rx. And gas, well cant afford that either."

Sandi said, "Once pay for gas... Then there is no extra for medical bills.”

I reached out to her and she commented back, saying, "Hi. I do have insurance but with copay’s and paying higher for gas, there is not enough in budget for going to doctor appointments."

Medical bills and medical prescriptions hitting people hard right now with inflation.

Some people commented saying that they are selling their own plasma to get bye.

Sara Gwathmey said, “giving plasma regularly for gas money.”

And Jodi Heyen Smith said, “I’m a teacher on a single, fixed income, so I’m donating plasma twice per week for extra money.”

As you can see, inflation hitting everybody hard, especially here in San Antonio.
