Keller ISD officials have announced that Nathan Roub will be the new principal at Basswood Elementary School and Brad Tyler will fill the principal position at Shady Grove Elementary School beginning in the 2024-25 school year.

The details

According to a district news release, Roub is currently serving as principal of Park Glen Elementary School. Roub has 12 years of experience in public education, including the following positions:
  • 2.5 years as principal of Park Glen Elementary School
  • 3 years as assistant principal at Keller-Harvel Elementary School
  • 6 years as teacher in Dallas ISD
The news release states that Tyler has worked in Keller ISD for his entire career in education. In terms of leadership positions, Tyler spent three years serving as assistant principal at Caprock Elementary School before serving as principal at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School for the past 11 years.

Diving in deeper

According to the news release, Roub holds a master's degree in educational leadership from SMU and a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Tyler holds a master's degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas.

The news release states that Roub and Tyler will complete the current school year at their current campuses before joining their new schools in the summer. Keller ISD officials are in the process of searching for the new principals of Park Glen Elementary School and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School.
