LAMESA, Texas — Klondike Independent School District announced in a press release on Thursday that a teacher was under investigation by Texas Rangers after being accused of engaging in “improper conduct involving a student at another Texas public school.”

Klondike ISD said the allegations have been reported to the Texas Education Agency and the State Board for Educator Certification. The district also stressed it was cooperating with law enforcement “to the fullest extent possible.”

According to the press release, the teacher involved is no longer employed with the district.

KISD said student safety and “proper professional boundaries between staff and students” were its top priorities.
