Upcoming Downtown Laredo Summit convening to discuss management practices, development
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - In an effort to help downtown flourish, the City of Laredo Economic Development Department, along with the Business Improvement District and Downtown TIRZ#1, will host a downtown summit on Thursday, April 24.
District 8 Council Member Alyssa Cigarroa and Kash Vasquez, with the Downtown Business Association, helped elaborate the need for this ‘first-of-its-kind’ event.
The downtown summit will feature industry experts to speak on a variety of topics and issues for sustaining a downtown district. Among the topics that will be addressed include insights into downtown management best practices, development, and business and retail market trends.
The one-day event will bring in several speakers representing an array of viewpoints across the state and country for the event taking place at the Laredo College Falcon Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The summit’s keynote speaker is Lorenzo Gomez III, a principal partner at the Confluence Capital Group.
