Named for longtime agriculture and science teacher Kenny Sanders, the North Lamar School board on Monday named the high school’s agricultural barn for the educator who will retire at the end of the year with 57 years service to the district. A recognition ceremony is planned soon.

“Kenny Sanders has always been a role-model for our staff and students and is loved by all, Superintendent Kelli Stewart said. “It has been a privilege to work with him throughout the years and we are honored to name the NLHS Ag barn after him. He has taught many generations of families in our school district.
