Nancy Pearlman, Ground-Breaking Environmentalist, Politician, Award-Winning Broadcaster, Joins Solarback LLC Advisory Board

For 54 years, Nancy Pearlman has made a vocation and avocation of safeguarding the earth’s ecosystems. Environmental Directions, her int’l weekly radio series, started in 1977 and is the longest-running environmental radio series in the country. She is also Executive Producer/Host of the Emmy-nominated TV series, ECONEWS.

The United Nations Environment Programme selected Pearlman as a Global 500 Laureate. For 16 years she served on the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees, chairing its Infrastructure Committee, the largest public green building program in the country.

Since coordinating the first Earth Day in Southern CA in 1970, she’s worked with 100s of conservation organizations. Pearlman founded the Ecology Center of Southern California, Project Ecotourism, Humanity and the Planet, Earth Cultures, and “Nancy Pearlman, the Eco-Traveler.”
