STICKING WITH IT: Once considered a niche sport, lacrosse taking hold in New Braunfels

Devan Gallagher came to Canyon High School to be a social studies teacher, and although he still is, he is also one of the pioneers of lacrosse in New Braunfels.

As a New York native who played lacrosse up to the collegiate level at Texas State University, Gallagher tried to gauge interest in starting a potential team during the 2016-17 school year.
