RED OAK – Life School has received full system approval from the Texas Education Agency under the Teacher Incentive Allotment. The approval grants Life School nearly $300,000 to recognize TEA-designated Teachers this year. Only 25% of districts in the state hold this designation, according to the Texas Public Charter School Association.

Life School submitted the collected data and recommended designations for 65 teachers. TEA Designated teachers will receive 90% of the funds. The remaining 10% will be used to cover expenses related to Life School’s National Board Cohorts and other administrative costs to support the requirements of the TIA program. The allotment will be paid to Life School teachers by the end of August. The teacher must still be employed by Life School at the time of payout to be eligible for the state stipend.
