Gainesville police arrested a 28-year old pre-school teacher they say sexually battered one of his students.

28- year old Trevor Hruby was arrested Wednesday after police say parents came to them concerned with something their child said.

“The parents contacted authorities to investigate," said GPD Spokesman Graham Glover. "We brought in the teacher who was later arrested for sexual battery of a child under the age of 12. Mr. Trevor Hruby who later confessed to the charges brought against him.”

“I reached out to A Child's Dream preschool for a comment on the situation," reported CBS4's Landon Harrar. "The owner ( Jose Rodriguez) got back to me via Facebook. He said, “ We want to assure you that A Child's Dreams Preschool has followed 100% of the law and protocols when dealing with this situation. The employee in question went through all regulatory background checks required by governing entities.”

Police say additional victims and future charges are possible.

“It's certainly a possibility which is why GPD felt it was important to share this information with the public," said Glover. "We wanted people to know the individual, the suspect that has been arrested for this horrific crime. We wanted people to know the place it occurred in case you have a child or children who attend there. If you have any questions or concerns about your child or others we want you to contact law enforcement immediately so we can follow up with you.”

Glover said the details of the case are highly disturbing.

“Anytime you’re talking about sexual activity or battery of anybody, much less a child under the age of 12, much less a child who would attend a facility like this where we know the ages of the children, this is beyond any rational type of comprehension.”

Glover also mentioned it's important for parents to not interview their own kids but to let trained police professionals handle those questions if you have any concerns about what your child is telling you.

Glover also said A Child's Dream management has been cooperative and helpful in the investigation. You can see The entire statement from A Child's Dream owner Jose Rodriguez below.

"For the last 24 hours, we’ve been working with the Gainesville Police Department & the Department of

Children & Families during an ongoing investigation. The investigation is based on allegations made

against an employee at our center. Any families affected have already been contacted by police. This

is all the information we have available to share with you at this time since all the details from the

investigation are still unclear. However, we want to assure you that A Child’s Dream Preschool has followed 100% of the law & protocols when dealing with this situation. The employee in question went through all the regulatory background checks required by the governing entities. We’ve collaborated with the families, the Gainesville Police Department, & DCF to get to the bottom of the allegations brought forward. We will continue to do so until complete transparency & collaboration prevail.

Our hearts go out to any families & children affected by this matter. Everyone at our center sees our

students as their own children. Again, any families affected by this situation have already been

contacted by the Gainesville Police Department."
