BISD board approves incentives to attract new employees in key areas

From BISD - 2021-22 New Hire Incentives

The BISD Board of Trustees approved new hire incentives at its June 17, 2021 meeting. The following hiring incentives will be paid out in two lump-sum payments, one at the beginning of the fall semester and one at the beginning of the spring semester for new hires only.

Counselor Hiring Incentive - $2,500

Diagnostician Hiring Incentive - $2,500

Speech Language Pathologist Hiring Incentive - $2,500

Teacher Hiring Incentive - $2,000

New hires must meet the following criteria to receive the hiring incentives:

Must be a new full-time employee or a returning employee to BISD who was not employed by the district during the 2020-21 school year.

Employment with BISD for the 2021-22 school year must meet full-time status. Part-time or substitute employees are not eligible for the hiring incentive.

Must hold proper certification for the position in which you are being employed. Standard, Intern and Probationary certifications are eligible. Emergency permit holders are not eligible to receive this incentive.
