EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso Department of Health reported 15 new virus-related deaths on Friday, bringing the City’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 1,564. 

All 15 patients had underlying health conditions, according to the City. They include two males in their 40s, two males in their 50s, one female in her 50s, two males in their 60s, two females in their 60s, two males in their 70s, one female in her 70s, two females in their 80s and one male in his 90s.

The Health Department also reported 390 new cases, as well as 32 additional cases which are part of the delayed local results issued by the State to the Department of Public Health. The results are from the tests conducted during the CDC Weeks 51, 52, 53, Week 1 and 2. We are currently in CDC Week 2.

There are 35,465 active cases, according to the City. There are 458 patients hospitalized with the virus, 156 are on ICUs and 104 patients are on ventilators. 

Health officials advised that 68,154 individuals have recovered from COVID-19.
