With just 13 days left until Election Day, Vice President Mike Pence stopped in the Buckeye State to rally Trump's base, making the case for four more years.Like Gov. Mike DeWine, Pence said everyone has a role to play in flattening the curve amid another spike in cases in several states. "We encourage people to continue to practice good hygiene, social distancing, wear a mask where it's indicated and appropriate," said Pence.I asked his thoughts on DeWine's warning to Ohioans that a huge spike could mean remote learning for schools. "We fully support Gov. Mike DeWine. His leadership through such a challenging time in the life of this state. When it comes to schools, we announced just a few short weeks ago that the new, rapid 15-minute tests for coronavirus are being distributed 100 million strong to school nurses and administrators around the country," said Pence.Pence said despite another spike in cases in some states so close to the thick of flu season, Americans should be encouraged by the progression of a vaccine."We're literally a matter of, we believe, weeks away from having the first safe and effective coronavirus vaccine. We think we'll have that vaccine in millions of doses available to the American people before the end of this year," said Pence. As the race to a vaccine marches on, Pence said the Trump administration is focused on supporting states like Ohio with personal protective equipment for doctors, nurses and teachers. As for Wednesday's failed $500 billion stimulus deal?"President Trump has made it clear that we would support a bill much larger than that. The president's talked about $1.8 trillion but still we see Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer that are blocking progress," said Pence. Pence didn’t specify if there would be another stimulus before Nov. 3 but he said he wants to see more relief and more recovery for families and businesses.

With just 13 days left until Election Day, Vice President Mike Pence stopped in the Buckeye State to rally Trump's base, making the case for four more years.

Like Gov. Mike DeWine, Pence said everyone has a role to play in flattening the curve amid another spike in cases in several states.

"We encourage people to continue to practice good hygiene, social distancing, wear a mask where it's indicated and appropriate," said Pence.

I asked his thoughts on DeWine's warning to Ohioans that a huge spike could mean remote learning for schools.

"We fully support Gov. Mike DeWine. His leadership through such a challenging time in the life of this state. When it comes to schools, we announced just a few short weeks ago that the new, rapid 15-minute tests for coronavirus are being distributed 100 million strong to school nurses and administrators around the country," said Pence.

Pence said despite another spike in cases in some states so close to the thick of flu season, Americans should be encouraged by the progression of a vaccine.

"We're literally a matter of, we believe, weeks away from having the first safe and effective coronavirus vaccine. We think we'll have that vaccine in millions of doses available to the American people before the end of this year," said Pence.

As the race to a vaccine marches on, Pence said the Trump administration is focused on supporting states like Ohio with personal protective equipment for doctors, nurses and teachers.

As for Wednesday's failed $500 billion stimulus deal?

"President Trump has made it clear that we would support a bill much larger than that.
