Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has issued a 48-point guidance to all county board of election officers ahead of this November's general election.

Guidance for in-person election, absentee and mail in ballots are addressed.

In-person voting will require masks and other PPE, in addition to the sanitizing of all voting machines.

Also, the 4 weeks of early in-person voting will continue this year. Every Ohioan will receive an absentee ballot request form in the mail around Labor Day.

Once filled out and mailed back, those ballots will begin to go out by Oct. 6 and must be postmarked by Nov. 2.

To the public, this election year should be just like the previous.

"I’ll get the question 'what's going to happen with the election this November?' and the answer is, the election this November and the 4 weeks leading up to it is going to look a lot like what Ohioans have grown accustom to close to 2 decades," LaRose said.

Election day in Ohio is on Nov. 3, with polls opening at 6:30 a.m. and closing at 7:30.
