SAN ANTONIO – As school districts continue on the path toward reopening, Metro Health has given a bit of homework.

Monday, Metro Health said all districts must create COVID-19 panels to help guide the way for administrators when students and staff come back to in-person class and extracurricular activities.

Each panel will include:

  • One student.
  • One teacher.
  • One parent.
  • One non-instructional staff member (custodian or cafeteria worker).
  • A school nurse or doctor.
  • A human resources representative.

Schools will need to move fast, as Metro Health said it expects these panels to have written plans in the next two weeks.
