Pflugerville ISD staffer tests positive for coronavirus

A Pflugerville High School staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, the district said in a statement sent to parents Friday.

The staff member, who is not a teacher, showed no symptoms relating to coronavirus until the last weekend of spring break and had no contact with students or staff since March 14, according to the statement.

The staffer’s health care provider believes the person could have been within a contagious period of the virus the week before spring break, the statement says.

District staff asked that school staff and students monitor their health and immediately inform their health care provider if they begin feeling ill.

Pflugerville school district campuses remained closed through April 13.
