SAN ANTONIO — Students and staff at Southside High School are mourning the death of a teacher who passed away this week after collapsing in his classroom.
Social studies teacher, Mr. William Carle, died at a hospital after collapsing in his classroom on Tuesday.
Students held a short memorial service for Mr. Carle on Thursday at the school's courtyard.
"We are saddened by Mr. Carle’s passing and our prayers go out to his loved ones, his students, and fellow teachers," said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Mark E. Eads.
Carle was in his 26th year of teaching at Southside, according to information posted on the district's website.
